The Best Items in Act 2 in Baldur's Gate 3
Cloak of Proection
Cloak of Protection is nice for the +1 to each Armour Class and Saving Throw. It can be purchased in Last Light’s Inn area from Quartermaster Talli.
Yuan-Ti Scale Mail
Yuan-Ti Scale Mail is quite nice for dextery-based characters such as sealth archer, provding great AC. It can be purchased in Last Light’s Inn area from Quartermaster Talli.
Hat of Fire Acuity
The Hat of Fire Acuity is quite good for a fire sorcerer or wizard using that scorch spell. It can be obtained from the Strange Ox in Act 2 in the blacksmith area (or alternatively in Act 3).
Snowburst Ring
Snowburst Ring is useful for certain builds specifically those focusing on cold damage. It creates an ice surface surrounding the target of cold damage which can make them prone which is handy. It can be obtained in the Last Light Inn with perception check under floorboards in room to the northwest X:-82 Y:157.
Filigreed Feywild Bell
Filigreed Feywild Bell is even better than Moonlantern, since you can’t walk out of the area of effect of protection from the shadow curse. Release the pixie from Kar’niss at X:7 Y:13.
Halberd of Vigilance
Halberd of Vigilance is a nice 2-handed weapon. It has bonus to initiative rolls and perception ability checks. Also the weapon enchantment +2 is higher than earlier 2-handed weapons available, making each melee attack slightly more likely to hit and deal slightly more damage. It can be purchased in Moonrise from Lann Tarv.
Fistbreaker Helm
Fistbreaker Helm provides both +1 to Spell Save DC making it more likely for spells such as Command to work. It also provides bonus intiative making it more likely to attack earlier in combat. It can be purchased in Moonrise from Lann Tarv.
Drakethroat Glaive
Drakethroat Glaive is useful for its ability moreso than the weapon itself. The ability can be used to add bonus damage to ANY weapon. So for example place a bow on the ground, cast the ability Draconic Elemental Weapon on it, and use the bonus damage to delete enemies, as well as activate damage-based abilities. It can be purchased in Moonrise from Roah Moonglow.
Ne’er Misser
Ne’er Misser is nice because it uses Force damage instead of piercing, which helps against those resistant to piercing such as Myrkul, Balthazar, Steel Watchers, and fire Spheres. It can be purchased in Moonrise from Roah Moonglow.
Risky Ring
Risky Ring. Wow. Just wow. This ring gives you Advantage on attack rolls which is huge! There is the downside of Disadvantage on saving throws but that is much lesser in comparison, It can be purchased in Moonrise from Araj Oblodra in the room east of the throne room at X:-120 Y-190.
Ring of Free Action
The Ring of Free Action is also handy keeping you moving freely. It can be purchased in Moonrise from Araj Oblodra in the room east of the throne room at X:-120 Y-190.
Iron-Banded Shield +1
The Iron-Banded Shield +1 is not fancy but it has a nice extra AC point which is really what you want from a shield. It’s sitting near the vendors in Moonrise, just pick it up after they’ve been subdued, left, or with a little darkness.
Helmet of Arcane Acuity
The Helmet of Arcane Acuity is amazing specifically for Raphael later in the game. Bring 5 boxes, shoot them right before the fight, Hold Monster and Arrow of Many Targets. Or its probably useful for someone else in general too… Anyways it can be found near the knock scroll in the ghost area in the Masons, in a trapped locked chest at X:107 Y:-758.
The Scroll of Knock is also nearby behind a hidden door, perceive then press the button to go in, and it’s in the heavy chest on the left.
Arcane Acuity - for every attack you do, you build arcane acuity stacks, and the more stacks attacks you have the better spell save DC you have. See Morgana Evelyn use this to great advantage against Raphael!!
Callous Glow Ring
The Callous Glow Ring provides extra damage with each attack. It doesn’t specify on the tooltip but he damage is Radiant type. It can be found in one of the 3 chests behind a locked door near Balthazar in Gauntlet of Shar. Pick the lock with high sleight of hand lockpicking skills, or Knock spell.
Dark Justiciar Gauntlets
Dark Justiciar Gauntlets add a cool 1-4 necrotic damage to each weapon attack. They’re an easy pickup in Yugir’s room on a crate in Gauntlet of Shar at X:-661 Y:-766.
