How to Defeat Myrkul

This method can work even on a solo honour run reliably.

Collect Smokepowder Barrels, Smokepowder Bombs, and Holy Water over the course of the game such as buying from Talli.

Kill the mindflayer first, one good way is stealth archer with greater invisibility.

Once Myrkul spawns, go onto his platform (perhaps not too close to avoid opportunity attack). Go to thrown tab in inventory, drag out all the explosives onto the ground next to him. Then fly or misty step back up to the far ledge. Shoot a fire arrow to explode them all.

In a recent solo honour run, I had 2 smokepowder barrels, 25 smokepowder bombs, and 20 holy water, as well as 1 smokepoweder satchel, which I’m sure was overkill but it easily destroyed him the first round in 1 go.

Another honor run, 14 smokepowder bombs killed him in 1 shot.

On another run, 4 smokepowder barrels and 20 smokepowder bombs also destroyed him in 1 go.

Another run, 13 smokepowder bombs got him down to 31 health so that’s basically what you need, probably 14 would get him.

He has 390 HP.
